What an intense, energetic and dramatic New Moon we have.  Well it is in intense and energetic Gemini after all! 
 

The New Moon is commonly referred to as the "dark of the Moon" and is not only an opportunity for us to set our intentions for the next month, but is also an opportunity for looking within.  A New Moon is a time when we can see how we are being, how our energy is flowing and feeling within our lives.  During the darkness of the New Moon when the outer light is quiet, we are guided to turn our attention to our inner Light for self reflection. 
 
 The lively energy of the Gemini New Moon brings us  a surge of creative  energy and a feeling of restlessness contrasting with the pull of self reflection. You may feel scattered and yet full of ideas that you want to communicate or put into action.  Finding the balance in between the two is the key for this New Moon.  Make sure to take time to ground yourself walking on the ground barefoot, sitting or standing leaning against a tree, using VibesUP Earth Mats good for bringing the Earth inside.
 
During this New Moon, we are reminded of the importance of practicing heart-centered communication in all areas of our daily life.  Connections via all communication are enhanced as well boosting the urge to get the word out and network. All is happening within the backdrop of the playful Gemini energy, so connecting with with fun and joy is highlighted.  This new moon launches a 2 week period of intensified creative active energy, so plan to use it well.
 
In between this New Moon on the 8th and the Full Moon on the 23rd of June is the Solstice on June 21.  The energy is building this month and will be at a new peak for the June MMR on the 27th. So choose your intentions wisely and make them powerful ones for this New Moon since everything you ask for will be set into motion by the potent June energy.
 
I wasn't going to mention this because too much negative energy is put around this normal occurrence, Mercury is going retrograde later this month. Mercury Retrograde can be a period of great success!  So why not include in your New Moon intentions and wishes an easy, smooth and uneventful retrograde for yourself?  You can create whatever you want!
 
As you know, a New Moon is when we set our intentions powerfully by writing an Abundance check.  Writing an Abundance check on the New Moon is a time honored tradition to bring on Abundance and Good Fortune!  

The most potent time to write an Abundance Check is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work.
 
Since we do not want to write our Abundance Check when the Moon is Void of Course - it really makes a big difference -   the most powerful times  for writing our Abundance Checks and declaring our intentions for this New Moon are below:  ALL TIMES below ARE U.S. EDT (NY) time  (GMT -4)

  • Sat June 8, 10:59 EDT through Sunday June 9, 4:29am  Write Checks
    Sunday June 9 4:30am through June 9 12:16pm - Do NOT Write Checks
    Sunday June 9 after 12:17pm through Monday June  10 5:15pm  Write Checks
When we are past the 48 hour window it will be less potent.

HOW TO write your Abundance Check:    
  ►Within 24-48 hours of the New Moon (see best times above), take a check out. Where it says Pay to," write your name.   
  ►In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a dollar amount write "Paid in full."
  ►On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a dollar amount, write "Paid in full." [I find it works better if you don't add the squiggly line.]
  ►Sign the check: "The Law of Abundance"
  • Do not put a date on the check.
  • Do not write a specific dollar amount in the check.
  • It's perfectly ok to draw a check on a piece of paper if you don't have one.  It works the same!
  • I have provided two special checks that can be used if you do not have one (links above)
   ► Put it in a safe place and forget about it.  Just hide it away and let it be. Then relax and welcome in the abundance!
