What an intense, fiery and passionate New Moon we have!   This is the Leo New Moon and it is at 5:51pm EDT (NY) time on 6 August.  [21:51pm GMT/UT]  The Moon goes Void of Course exactly at the time of the New Moon so don't rush off to write your Abundance check until you check the "best times to write" below. 

The New Moon in Leo is occurring during the time of the Lion's Gate portal.  Double Lion energy + Potent New Moon energy= Big opportunities!   This Leo New Moon is all about stepping our passions and igniting our unique fire of creativity in the world.  It is a big blast of fire amidst all the watery energy of the Star of David.  This fiery New Moon brings us back to the present moment with intensity - yet also amplified the childlike, playful generous heart within us.  It is a powerful New Moon to declare out intentions with!

The New Moon is commonly referred to as the "dark of the Moon" and is an opportunity for us to set our intentions for the next month and also an opportunity for going within.  Use the New Moon Meditation. 
 
As you know, a New Moon is when we set our intentions powerfully by writing an Abundance check.  Writing an Abundance check on the New Moon is a time honored tradition to bring on Abundance and Good Fortune!  

The most potent time to write an Abundance Check is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. 
 
Since we do not want to write our Abundance Check when the Moon is Void of Course - it really makes a huge difference - we cannot write our New Moon Abundance check on the day of the New Moon this month since it goes Void of Course immediately.  The most powerful times  for writing our Abundance Checks and declaring our intentions for this New Moon are below:  Note: ALL TIMES below ARE U.S. EDT (NY) time  (or GMT -4)

  • August 7 AFTER 11:57pm EDT (NY) time through August 9,  6:05pm EDT < Write checks!

    This is a little tricky since we want to write our Abundance Checks as close to the time of the New Moon as possible.  So this means that you should be prepared with all your intentions, to write your check as close to 11:57pm EDT (NY) on Wednesday, 7 August as possible.  Set an alarm, write a note, do whatever you need to to remind yourself to write the check as close to 11:57pm EDT as you can.      When we are past the 48 hour window it will be less potent.

    I know it may be inconvenient, but yes, it makes a HUGE difference when you write your check when the moon is not Void of Course!

** HOW TO write your Abundance Check**    
  ►Within 24-48 hours of the New Moon (see best times above), take a check out. Where it says Pay to," write your name.   
  ►In the little box on the same line where you would fill in a dollar amount write "Paid in full."
  ►On the line underneath your name, where you would write out a dollar amount, write "Paid in full." [I find it works better if you don't add the squiggly line.]
  ►Sign the check: "The Law of Abundance"
  • Do not put a date on the check.
  • Do not write a specific dollar amount in the check.
  • It's perfectly ok to draw a check on a piece of paper if you don't have one.  It works the same!
  • I have provided two special checks that can be used if you do not have one (links are above)
   ► Put it in a safe place and forget about it.  Just hide it away and let it be. Then relax and welcome in the abundance!
