Solstice is about the Sun. The Earth. It's about Energy and the great love affair between the Sun and the Earth. It is not insignificant that I have the Sun holding the Earth in Love in the banner. It is the Energy (Love) of the Sun that nourishes and keeps the Earth alive and thriving. It is the gravity of the Sun (Love) that keeps the Earth in it's perfect orbit
around and at the perfect proximity to our star to receive the perfect nourishment. It is the Sun that burns at just the right temperature, not too hot or not too cold that allows the Earth to flourish as she does. Since all is Consciousness, the Sun and the Earth are Consciousness too, and at Solstice we are reminded of the perfect Love of Consciousness that is all around us.
Solstice is a reminder that we too are Consciousness and emanate perfect Love when we allow our true nature. We, like the Sun shine and all those we shine upon, like the Earth flourish. We flourish when we shine our Love upon ourselves. Self Love is too often overlooked, but we need it to thrive. Solstice reminds us to remember the Sacred, the All, the One Consciousness, the Love that
permeates and is all.
Our beloved Solar System is in orbit itself, around a great Galactic Sun, a Sun so dense in gravity, it generates a black hole. That's a lot of Love Energy pulling! Our Galactic Sun is estimated to be holding tens of billions of Solar Systems in it's great spiral. That's a LOT of Love! The great spiral of our Galaxy (and all Galaxies) is the same spiral that is the foundation for all
Life. All form. All Energy flow. We are reminded of "as above, so below". We are reminded of the Great Love that extends Itself forth into All That Is. And we are reminded of our part in this great spiraling weave of Consciousness. We are reminded of the smallness and the vastness. We are at once all of it and a part of it. We are the Great Love expressed.
Solstice Energy can truly awaken you to your true nature and deepen your experience of your path. It is a reminder, a nudge, a Light that illuminates, if you allow it to. It is no accident that Solstice and the Sun/Earth relationship has been venerated and celebrated by cultures throughout history. Different groups of people understood the profound teaching and message that literally comes from above, and knew that the outer drama enacted in the heavens was actually an inner representation of a human becoming spiritual, with the sun representing the spiritual force that merges with a person. The worship of the Sun was actually the worship of the spiritual Sun not the physical Sun. Paracelsus, the great alchemist of the Middle Ages, wrote:
There is an earthly sun, which is the cause of all heat, and all who are able to see may see the sun; and those who are blind and cannot see him may feel his heat. There is an Eternal Sun, which is the source of all wisdom, and those whose spiritual senses have awakened to life will see that sun and be conscious of His existence; but those who have not attained spiritual consciousness may yet feel His
power by an inner faculty which is called Intuition.~ Paracelsus
The physical sun is a blazing fire—it gives light and life to all things physical. From the physical sun, all creation comes into being. Science theorizes that all matter burst forth from the “Big Bang,” from within the fiery furnace of the stars. We ourselves are a collection of sparkling points of Light, our cells. Didn't the physical form that we have spring forth from two of these tiny points
of Light?
In Taoist texts, creation is described as moving from the subtle and unseen realms (which are higher dimensional), into physical manifestation. The source of these subtle energies is said to be the stars, and the Sun is the star with which we share our closest relationship. Which once again brings us back to the special relationship between the Earth and her inhabitants and the Sun. So as you enjoy the energies of this Solstice month, allow yourself to feel a special appreciation for our star, the Sun. Allow yourself to feel appreciation for all that blooms and lives upon the Earth, including you, because of the Love from our Sun. Allow yourself to appreciate and feel love for all the trillions of 'little stars' within your body. Allow yourself to appreciate and feel love for our Galaxy and Galactic Sun whose perfect Love holds so many Solar systems in perfect proximity from one another, without collision, as they orbit that very dense star.
