Happy Memorial Day!  Today is Memorial Day in the U.S.   Memorial Day is a special day dedicated to honoring all those who have so lovingly, bravely and selflessly have given of themselves in service and made the ultimate sacrifice; that of their physical body for the benefit of the whole.   And it's a day to cherish all those who are here, including YOU.



When I was looking for an image for this email, I ran across this eagle and my first thought was "this eagle looks so sad".  Then it occurred to me that perhaps the eagle was not sad, he was meditating.  I immediately let go of the thought that he was mourning and instead saw him meditating on peace arising out of every being on the planet loving and appreciating one another. I realized that I have the ability to perceive the eagle as either mourning or meditating. I choose meditating.  I now see him as a peace eagle.  A meditating peace eagle holding the vision of a loving and peaceful world.  This wonderful eagle is a metaphor for everything you experience in your life.  Want it or don't want it.  Love it or hate it.  Happy or sad.  Annoyed or appreciative. You are always choosing.

What was your very first thought when you saw the eagle image?  Did you think he was sad?  Meditating?  Contemplating his talons?  Look at what your instinctual first thought was.  It's a glimpse into how you've been wired to react, think and by extension feel.  How the eagle shows up to you is a reflection of you.  Since we create our world with our feelings (vibrations) noticing your "thinking habits" is the key to receiving the life that you wish to experience.  He's a  pretty profound eagle, wouldn't you agree? 

Gratitude, appreciation and love.  These are the powerful feelings and vibrations cultivated by millions on Memorial Day.  Every moment is the best time to cultivate gratitude, appreciation and love for everything in our lives, most of all for our self.  Choose to cultivate these feelings in your life daily.

I use "cultivate" because like a gardener gives attention to and cultivates a garden in order for it to bear beautiful flowers, healthy plants and abundant vegetables, we are always cultivating the vibrational energy of our life. It's what feelings we are using to cultivate with that determine what blooms in the garden of our life.  Something always shows up.  When we cultivate the feelings of profound gratitude, appreciation and love we grow a life garden blooming with abundance, wealth, rich relationships and the amazing experiences we are wishing for.
