words that the mind might attach to, in order to create an energy of "letting
go"..
Look at the energy around forgiveness and lack of forgiveness honestly and you will see that it's about freedom. Freedom is exactly what we don't feel while we are 'unforgiving'. We remain bound to the person or situation that we are not forgiving, not free. Unforgiveness is being stuck in the past and not being here, now. When we realize that everything is always working out for us; we can embrace that things don't happen to us -- but for us, and we can release and let go of the experience and energy around it. Many times as we release past situations, we discover a
deep underlying unforgiveness toward ourselves. We've projected it outward to others and
situations, disguising it. It's much more challenging to 'let go' of
unforgiveness of ourselves, it's since we can't just let go of
ourselves and move on. We take ourselves wherever we go. Therefore it's often
helpful to have gentle, loving tools, techniques or meditations to support us
in releasing ourselves from unforgiveness layer by layer.
